Training Facilitators
Starling Arts believe in passing on the baton to the next generation of community music facilitators.
We offer unique, interactive training sessions for arts facilitators and teachers. Through specially selected exercises, participants can explore the challenges, complexities and approaches to working with community groups and young people using the arts
What we offer:
Masterclasses for applied theatre and community music students: Being guest lecturers at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, leading workshops for the Drama Education and Applied Theatre students
Training days for group singing leaders and arts facilitators: Delivering sessions at large scale events including The Culture, Health and Wellbeing International Conference: showcasing inspiring work from across the arts, The Music and Drama Expo: Europe's leading free CPD event for anyone involved in music & drama education, TheatreCraft: the beyond the stage careers fair at the Royal Opera House, and Perform/Move It: the event for anyone studying or working in the performing arts industry.
And running training sessions for community music facilitators in-person and online
Guidance and Collaboration: Curating the Choir Leaders’ Network, connecting community music practitioners with each other, with an emphasis on singing for wellbeing.
Student placements: Hosting placement students from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. We take pride in offering students insight into the many sides of being an arts facilitator and giving them numerous opportunities to put this into practice.
All our training workshops are tailored to the groups we work with, their experience and interests.
